Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 8/9/25
Dear Diary,
It was pretty much business as usual this week on Xanadu, although after all the drama last week, we had a little bit of a repeat occurrence, so I’m wondering if I need to keep a bit of a closer eye on Ace…
Now that August has fully kicked off, it’s time for Mom to send along another gift. Although I’m not sure what her note about wishing on falling stars has to do with Mom’s pen stand. I mean, at least this one has an actual star as part of the design. So there’s that. I’m not crazy about this one… it’s less colorful than some of the others. But still… thanks, Mom!
Patty was looking preoccupied so I checked in with her, and it turns out that she and Ace got into another fashion fight. Seriously, you guys? You literally just had the same argument last week! Ugh. Fine. I’ll go deliver another apology gift.
This time, Patty said sorry by gifting Ace a flashy suit, so I guess after last week’s ridiculous joke outfits, she’s actually trying to apologize. Of course, as you can see, the garden tank is being displayed in his house, not part of his normal wardrobe rotation. Same with the other one from last week. Guess Ace knows he looks ridiculous in them. Wonder if he’ll actually wear the flashy suit, though… Anyway, he gave me a shop uniform shirt for my troubles and I really hope that he stops picking fights with Apple and Patty from now on!
Okay, it took a little while, but Lopez’s new nickname for me is starting to spread around the island. Sherb caught wind of it and I happily told him he could go ahead and use it if he wanted.
Towards the end of the week, we had a camper. Pango seemed nice enough and I respect her living life colorfully. But like usual, there’s no room on the island. Hope you enjoyed your visit, though!
I found a notebook on the ground and although most of the writing was illegible, I could make out the word “band.” I don’t know why, but the first person I thought of was Broffina. However, I was closer to Deirdre’s house, so I popped in there, first. And it turned out it actually was hers! Either way, I would have helped solidify a friendship with a newer resident, but I’m glad it was Deirdre, because I actually really like her. Didn’t even care about the sleeveless parka she gave me to say thanks…
I know I said I liked Deirdre better than Broffina, but when Broffina told me she had decided to move on and leave Xanadu, I shut her plans right down. I did think about it for a few seconds. But I feel like she’s still new enough that I’m not ready to let her go quite yet. I’m not keeping her forever, but I’d like a little bit longer with her still. Try again in a few weeks, Broffina!
