Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 8/5/23
Dear Diary,
It was a nice, quiet week on Xanadu this time around. But I still learned a little something!
Things kicked off with a visit to Genji, who was under the weather. Summer colds are the worst! I gave him some of the medicine I had on me and he was so grateful he gave me a lettered cap. I don’t even need a reward. I’m just happy to help… mostly cause I don’t want to catch whatever’s going around!
It was also the beginning of a new month, which means another present from Mom! This time it was another Mom’s pen stand, and though I thought I already had this design, it turns out that there’s just two pink ones. But they’re different!
It doesn’t happen often, but once in a blue moon I’ll see something at Nook’s Cranny that I have never seen before. So I bought the baseball set to log it in my inventory and then I decided that I would give it to Ace to cement our friendship. Unfortunately, I still haven’t gotten his picture yet. He thanked me with a dotted raincoat. Sigh.
Later in the week, I found a book laying in the grass and it turned out to belong to the very first person I ran across — Apollo! I knew it would still be too soon to get his picture as a reward, so I happily accepted a striped shirt instead.
I thought it was adorable that Sasha was doing DIY crafting in his purple robe. Like, who does he think he is, Hugh Hefner? But then he told me he was making a purple hyacinth crown and I assumed I already had that recipe. But I didn’t! New DIY crafting recipes are almost rarer than new items for sale at Nook’s Cranny at this point. So I was very excited to accept the recipe Sasha offered to share with me. Not that I’m going to make one, but it’s still nice to learn new things!
While out looking for bugs at night again (still not finding any I don’t already have…) I ran into Sherb deep in thought. He told me he was thinking about moving away and after a half second of saying, “Sure, why not? You’ve been here a long time, practically since the beginning,” I immediately realized I still can’t let him go. He’s just too adorable and I would miss him. Sasha might seem like the same type, but no one can compare to Sherb!
