Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 8/24/19

Dear Diary,

There were some big events this week, but unfortunately, none of them was a new resident moving into town. I’m convinced that when Nana moved out, she left a really bad Yelp review or something because it’s been like, a month, and nothing. No one has shown any interest in moving to Geneva. What’s up with that? It’s just rude.

I don’t usually bother with the tournaments, but I didn’t really have much else going on that day and a Raja B. butterfly just happened to flit by me, so I netted it and brought it over to Nat just to see. Turned out even though it was of only average lustre and color, Nat awarded it 66 points which was enough to move me into first place as well as a mini-prize of a director’s chair.

The next day, I had a letter congratulating me on winning the Bug-Off, but I actually went to check the bulletin board for the official scores because I had won a silver trophy. Isn’t it gold if you’re in first place? Or did Nat just bump me down a precious metal because I didn’t show up for the awards ceremony and he had to mail it to me?

It was my boyfriend’s birthday, so naturally I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. Gabi was also there partying it up. And I’d even picked out a gift last week when I came across a foosball table and thought Lopez would just love it. So I wrapped it up and carried it around for the next few days.

Unfortunately, Lopez was absolutely and completely underwhelmed by my gift. I couldn’t believe it! I honestly thought a foosball table would be right up his alley. I knew I should’ve given him that pinball table instead! Dangit! Sure, he tried to put a positive spin on it and tell me I was just giving him the chance to try new things, but I saw that look he gave when he unwrapped it.

This week, Tiffany was the one who tried to move away. And as you know, nobody new has moved in to replace Nana, so I’m not letting anyone else leave until that happens. Not like I was gonna let my favorite hooker bunny go anyway, but still!

I was actually kind of surprised when Butch just came running over to give me a K.K. Fusion album. Not because he was randomly giving me a present — that happens a lot with these animals. But I honestly couldn’t remember ever being given any music before. Clothing, carpets, wallpaper, furniture, sure. But not music. Unfortunately, I already had that record. Oh well!

Maelle expressed an interest in possibly moving to Geneva, but I didn’t encourage her. I don’t need anymore sweet types around here. Of course, watch — next week somebody random will move in and they’ll be totally sweet.

At the end of the week, I was making my rounds and asking everyone if they’d dropped the bag I found on the ground, and noticed that even if Lopez didn’t really like the foosball table I gave him for his birthday, he had at least put it out so I wouldn’t be offended if I stopped by. That was very sweet of him.animal
