Dear Diary,

I finally had some good luck this week, although not with pictures… But I did get to visit my nieces’ island and invite them over to mine, so that was fun!

The week got off on the wrong foot when Camofrog told me he was moving away. Naturally, I shut that down immediately given that he’s only just moved to the island. He’s gotta give it a fair shot! Also, I love my cranky neighbors so I would like him around for a bit…

We had some shooting stars, and I found Celeste in her usual spot (seriously, nine times out of 10 she’s in this high point on my island by the pond. And thankfully, this time, the DIY recipe was for a star clock so I can add it to my celestial room!

Although if I’m being completely honest, I thought it would hang on the wall. So it looks a bit sad just sitting on the floor over by the wall. Maybe I’ll get some kind of celestial table I can craft so I can put it on something. One day!

As July started it was time for another monthly letter from Mom. This time she included another Mom’s plushie. I actually really like this one because the design looks like a kid just scribbled all over it. It’s cute!

We also had a camper, but Wendy was kind of a lot so I’m not too upset we don’t have room on the island for her to move in right now. Although I wouldn’t mind getting her a new outfit because that watermelon shirt just looks weird on her. Not her color!

At the end of the week I was able to visit Ogunquitt, the island where my nieces, Mia and Nora live with their friends. I was the one who gave the twins a Nook Getaway Package for Christmas so I was excited to see their progress. Although I didn’t think to take any pictures on their island. This is me and Nora posing at the entrance to my island. And I was happy to help them out by passing along some of the fossils and DIY recipes that are duplicates for me that day, as well as a nice chunk of bells for each of them since they’re just starting out and I’m a multimillionaire. (Although I did think it quite odd that Genji was also living on their island… a twin? A clone? Best not to think about it, probably!)

Not that I came away completely empty handed — the day after we visited each others’ islands, I got this DAL umbrella. Guess I racked up a few more frequent flier miles!
