Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 7/5/25
Dear Diary,
This week was quiet as I anticipated doing a bit of traveling. I did a couple of favors for my newest neighbor, received a mildly unsettling gift, and met someone new! Read on!
Kicking things off, i was chatting with Deirdre on the beach in the rain and she seemed pretty itchy. With the rain, it was hard to immediately tell but she totally had fleas. I don’t know how much clearing out some fleas boosts friendships, but it has to be a good bit, right? Fleas are nasty!
I found a bag that smelled delicious so I basically assumed that it had to be Sherb’s. And when I finally ran into him on the island, I was proven right. Anything for my old buddy! (Though I do have to admit it’s a bit odd he calls the bag “him.” That’s weird, even for Sherb!) For my trouble, I was rewarded with a windbreaker.
Lopez wanted a new greeting and normally I would just assure them that the greeting (or catchphrase) that they’re already using is just fine because I usually can’t be bothered to think up something new. But it was Lopez, so I gave it a half a second of thought and told him to start saying “Wazzup!” It seems fitting for him!
The start of a new month means another letter and gift from Mom. This time it was her usual complaining about the noise of the cicadas (they’re the worst!) and she sent me another of Mom’s plushies. This one isn’t quite as cute as the others. I think it’s the color choices. It looks vaguely evil. But I still put him out on display… hope it’s not evil!
I found a book and there were no clues as to who it might belong to so I just started asking around and it turned out it belonged to Deirdre. That’s two favors in one week! This time I got a reward, though, and it was a kappa costume. Thanks, Deirdre, but as you’ll soon learn, the only reward I actually want from any of my neighbors is their picture. But you’re new. There’s still a lot of time before I even think I might get that as a reward.
Ugh. Sherb’s new nickname for me continues to spread around the island. This time, Apple asked if she could call me “Prof. Pie.” I still wish it wasn’t abbreviated, but sure, go ahead. Whatever floats your boat!
Then, to wrap up the week, we had a camper at the campsite and I went to say hello. I have to say, Monique goes a little heavy on the makeup and I’m not entirely sure that beauty mark is legit. She might turn out to be a little on the sassy side, which would be fine, but the brief conversation I had with her made her just seem snooty, so I’m glad there’s no room on the island for anyone new right now. Sorry, Monique! Better luck elsewhere!
