Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 7/26/25
Dear Diary,
I did a whole bunch of favors this week, including keeping a plague under control, so hopefully that solidified some friendships a little bit. But it’s a marathon, not a sprint, so we’re just going to have to wait and see. But every little bit helps, right?
So I saw a flea jumping around on Kitt and spend an annoying amount of time trying to catch it. Kitt kept thinking I was trying to talk to her… or hit her with my net. Oh well! You don’t get a thank you gift when you help someone deal with their itchy flea infestation, but it’s the thought that counts, right? I mean, I’d want her to do the same for me. (Not that I would ever let myself get covered in fleas, of course!)
While trying to find out who owned the bag I found laying on the ground, I saw Camofrog lost in thought. Fearing my favorite grump was thinking about moving away, I checked in with him but it turns out he was just frustrated because he couldn’t catch a goldfish. Maybe the fish can sense his bad mood? Anyway, I caught one in two shakes and handed it over and received a tiger-face tee dress for my trouble. Oh, it was no trouble. Seriously.
The bag obviously belonged to Apple or Patty. I saw Apple first, so I gave it a shot, but she acted completely offended that I thought it was her style and sent me in Patty’s direction. Not for nothing, Apple, but your style is exactly the same as Patty’s. Anyway, I scoured the entire island for Patty but couldn’t find her anywhere. I even ended up checking out all the different sections of the museum, even Brewster’s! And wouldn’t you know it, I just ran into her on the beach wandering around. Was she hiding from me the first time I wandered through this area keeping an eye out for her? My reward for all this effort? A shop uniform shirt. Not really worth it, but thanks, I guess?
Turns out this week it was Broffina who was thinking about moving off the island. Not that I’m super attached to her, and as you know, I’ve given up on trying to get pictures from all of my neighbors, so I could have let her go. But really, she’s still pretty new so I kind of want her to stick around just a bit longer. Maybe next time I’ll feel more generous and set you free… We’ll see!
I don’t know what’s going on around here but later in the week, Ace was also infested with fleas! Do these animals not wash or keep clean? Do I need to talk to Nook about stocking flea collars? Or, maybe that’s wardrobe so I should talk to Mabel? Anyway, I did Ace the favor of cleaning him up so hopefully that helps solidify our friendship more. His picture I still want.
