Dear Diary,

I’m starting to get concerned that no one has moved into town to replace Nana. I tried asking that camper the other week but she turned down my invitation. And nobody else has shown up yet. Maybe word has gotten out about my clingy tendencies? You can move into Geneva, but you can never leave! Oh well, someone has to show up eventually!

Butch kicked things off by trying to move away, but I refuse to have a town with just eight residents. I mean, I probably wouldn’t agree to let him go anyway, but just the same, it’s definitely not happening right now.

I got a letter from Mom this week that read: “Darling Chris, A fresh new look for the new, summer you. There are no sleeves, so you’ll stay cool! From Mom.” Inside was a red tie-dye tank, which I thought was more summery-looking than my previous T-shirt, so I went ahead and kept it on.

Gabi asked me to bury a time capsule for her, but she talked so fast I couldn’t catch what she was saying. But she handed it over and I buried it for her just as I always do whenever anyone asks me to do this silly favor. Can’t wait to see what’s inside that I’m going to get as a reward in a couple months when I dig it up!

The Able Sisters just weren’t stocking any shorts I liked, so I went ahead and popped into Nookington’s to order something specific. I went with the blue gym shorts, but I’m still not crazy about this whole ensemble. The red sneakers kind of tie it together, I suppose.

I found a bag laying around on the ground and after asking literally everyone in Geneva, of course it turns out to belong to Tiffany, the very last person I check with. I’m curious what this treasure is, but Tiff wasn’t giving up any details about it or the rabbit that gave it to her. But it’s clearly someone and something very special… spill, gurl! Unfortunately, all I walked away with was a three-ball tee. Dangit!

In the interest of trying to complete my new summer look, I went for a new haircut, but I gotta say, I’m not crazy about it. It’s a little too… bright yellow. It doesn’t seem to go with my outfit. Maybe I should’ve stuck with the blue color and tried a different style? Oh well. I can always go back and try something else. I just have to wait a day!

The week ended with Gabi making a rainy day even worse by telling me she was thinking about leaving me behind. Okay, no. First, you’re my only remaining original friend so you can’t leave me. Second, we’re still down one resident, so no one can leave until we fill back up. And third, you literally just asked me to bury your time capsule four days ago, so you really should at least stick around until I dig it up for you. Come on!
