Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 4/22/17

Dear Diary,

One of the things I like about living in these towns is that even after years of doing the same things all the time, something will happen that is totally new and surprises me. I’m not sure how this has never happened before, but I’m glad I discovered it!

So yeah, this week started with Easter… I mean, Bunny Day, where creepy Zipper T. Bunny hangs out all afternoon in the town plaza scaring the small children and asking you to find all the eggs you can. The thing is that it’s such a pain to collect all of them, I just don’t feel like it. I don’t participate in a lot of the other holidays because I already have the full set of furniture, but I know for a fact I don’t have all the pieces of the Egg series because it’s such a pain to do. I probably should give it a try, but… well, not this year!

This “darling” nickname keeps spreading around town, and while I am not a big fan of it, it doesn’t sound wrong coming out of Nana’s mouth, so I told her to go ahead and call me that if she wants.

I really wish Monty would stop trying to move away. I swear it feels like every week he tries. Okay maybe not every week, but at least a few times a month. It’s really annoying. I jumped through hoops to arrange for him to move here from my friend’s town, so I’m going to go through just that much effort to keep him around!

When Ribbot told me he heard people were calling me “darling,” I finally felt like I had to draw the line. It would definitely sound weird coming from him. Especially after “C dog.” So I told him not to use it.

I guess I’ve always just caved and let everyone call me whatever they want, because I was completely surprised when Ribbot responded by letting me pick my own nickname! I had no idea you could even do that! So of course, I completely blanked and couldn’t think of anything.

In a panic, the only thing that came to mind was “C Money.” But he liked it and agreed to call me that. Now I wonder if that original nickname can spread around town like the ones they come up with for me. I guess we’ll see!

I was surprised when Deli just randomly decided to give me a bubble gum tee, and decided that I liked the pink polka dots enough to just go ahead and change into it. It’s even springier than what I was wearing! Now I just need to change my pants…

There’s nothing quite like sitting on the bench at the end of Main Street and looking out over the ocean to relax on a nice day. The only drawback is that eventually you have to get up and return to reality.

I’ve often wondered where the pitfalls come from. Do they appear naturally in nature, or does someone sneak around in the middle of the night and plant them? Because if I find out that someone planted this one right in my own back yard, I’m gonna give them such a whalloping!
