Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 5/16/20
This was a surprisingly quiet week in Xanadu. I’ve now gotten to the point where things are moving at a nice, comfortable pace and I can just relax into my new life. I don’t catch many new fish or bugs, and I’ve also got most of the fossils so I don’t dig up anything useful even though I keep trying every day! I think I’m only missing a couple fossils which is going to make it difficult to find. But hey, I’ve got nothing but time! C.J. and Flick both stopped by this week, but at this point, that’s not a special event anymore. It’s nice.
I’ve noticed since the opening of the Nook’s Cranny expansion, the store has been selling some rather expensive items. Some, like a big-screen TV or a laptop, I don’t actually need so I choose to save my bells. But others, like this system kitchen, I had to splurge on. This cost 130,000 bells, but it’s absolutely perfect for the retro-style kitchen I’m trying to set up!
I should probably have a look at K.K. Slider’s discography so I can make an actual request next week. I keep telling him the mood I’m in and then I get a nice little tune I have to hope I don’t already have. In the case of “K.K. Bossa,” it was a good song I didn’t already have, so yay!
I had another camper that I would have loved to invite to move to Xanadu, but there’s no open space for anyone to move into. Sigh. I don’t know if there’s a way to go to Resident Services and ask someone politely to move out, but even if there was, I wouldn’t want to do that. It’s so rude! But I would appreciate if someone camped and we both agreed they should move here, they should get put on a waiting list so they’ll move into the next available slot. Because knowing that, I would totally let Naomi or Opal move out so I could get Bluebear!
Another new development this week was people asking me to come up with new catchphrases for them. I was wondering when that was going to happen! So far I’ve got Keaton saying “buddy,” Lopez saying “gurl,” and Sherb got “betch.”
I’m also loading up on duplicate DIY recipes. I have an entire pile of them by the plaza for the taking. It’s really frustrating. There seem to be so many recipes, but I keep getting the same ones from my residents and the bottles that wash up on shore. Sigh. Oh well, like I said, it doesn’t really matter because I’ve got nothing but time to collect everything. No rush!
