Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 5/10/25

Dear Diary,

Well, I was a real good Samaritan this week, doing favors left and right. And I even got a picture for my efforts! (Though not one I needed…) But even though Xanadu is clearly the best island on which to live, people just aren’t flocking here. I don’t understand it!

So I found a bag on the ground that was very clearly Sherb’s, and I went over to return it, feeling slightly bad about interrupting his afternoon with Vesta. Then I was more than slightly annoyed that he thanked me by giving me his picture. I mean, I love that Sherb is so fond of me that he would give me a second picture, but come on — I can’t get pictures out of people I’m trying to get them from. But I’m getting duplicates? Sigh…

A couple of days later, I found a notebook that I suspected could belong to Vesta. (It was super generic and straightforward with no decorations or personality… is it really terrible that I immediately thought of her?) She’s so new I wouldn’t have expected a picture yet so I was happy to accept the rugby uniform she gave me as a thank you.

Then, towards the end of the week, I stopped in to check on Camofrog and found him under the weather. So I happily handed over some medicine and he immediately perked up enough to give me a career jacket as thanks. Though I didn’t keep it long because within like, five minutes, I ran into Lopez, who was so desperate for a career jacket I sold it to him for practically nothing!

And despite my being like, the best neighbor ever, and also keeping the entire island clean from fallen branches, weeds, and stray flowers, I just can’t get anyone to move here. It’s been an entire week since Muffy moved away and still no one has bought her empty plot of land! Xanadu is the absolute best — there should be a freakin’ waiting list! Grrr… Well, I’m sure by next week, someone will move in… hope they’re cool!
