Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 4/26/25

4 min readApr 26, 2025

Dear Diary,

This week was actually a bit busy, putting Bunny Day in the rear-view mirror, learning something new, getting a new nickname, and doing a favor. And yes, I decided to add a halo to my Jesus ensemble for Sunday. Seemed only appropriate!

Thankfully, Bunny Day kicked off this week so I could ignore Zipper T. Bunny and finally see no more eggs everywhere. Now things can finally return to normal! (Or as normal as they can get on this island!)

Kitt felt like her catchphrase was a little stale, so I helped her come up with a new one. “Sweetums” was all I could think of off the top of my head, but she seemed happy enough with it. Always happy to help!

I was surprised to find Lopez crafting something I didn’t already know how to make — a gold rose wreath! After all these years, it still surprises me to come across a DIY recipe that I don’t already have. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen again at the end of the week, but I’ll get to that later…

Once again, Sherb floated the idea of moving away but I shut that down as I always do. He’s an absolute delight and I would miss him. Also, as one of my OG’s, he’s here for the duration… you’d think he would’ve figured that out by now, but then again, Sherb isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed!

Muffy came up with a new nickname to replace “backbeat.” I wasn’t crazy about “Highway,” but I guess it’s marginally better than “backbeat.” Also, it makes me think of EastEnders, which had a character that was once nicknamed “Highway.” So it works for me, Muffy!

After Sunday was over I changed out of my Jesus outfit and decided to go for a dirty hippie look. It took me a few days to get the right combination of hair and glasses and then I remembered the chin beard. So eventually I put together an Age of Aquarius look I was happy with!

Towards the end of the week, we had a camper and I thought I recognized her but then she introduced herself as Gloria and I swear that wasn’t the name I was expecting. I don’t honestly know what name I thought she was going to give me but it wasn’t Gloria. Maybe my brain is all screwed up and I only think I recognized her? Or maybe I just forgot her name? Then again, maybe she’s changed her name to avoid some kind of trouble? Who knows?

I had seen Celeste enjoying a coffee at Brewster’s in the evening so I made a point of coming out later after the sun went down to see if I could get another DIY recipe off her. Unfortunately, once again, it was just five star fragments. Boo. I know I don’t have all the celestial DIY recipes so why is she holding back? Maybe it has something to do with the time of year? Well, that’ll be tricky, given that she shows up so randomly. Sigh.

Finally, I found a bag on the ground that was embroidered with “Bikers are Great!” so I knew immediately it had to be Muffy’s. It was, but all I got was a soft-serve hat. She said I deserved something better, and I did — her picture! But apparently I’m not allowed to get pictures from anyone anymore. I think there was some kind of edict set down by Isabelle or something. Because at this point, it has to be a conspiracy!
