Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 4/19/25

Dear Diary,

Well, it’s the most annoying time of the year. So let’s just rip the bandage off and get to it!

The week kicked off with me digging up a fossil that was actually an earth egg. Ugh. I keep forgetting how annoying Bunny Day is because I literally block it out of my mind after it’s over. But I like to keep my island clean so every day I pick weeds, gather fallen branches, and dig up fossils so I don’t have unsightly holes littering the ground. Unfortunately, for an entire week, the majority of those holes are stupid earth eggs. It’s easy enough to avoid the other eggs because I’m not purposely shaking them off the trees or shooting them out of the sky. And I don’t fish as much anymore so the water eggs are also easy to ignore. But the earth eggs drive me insane!

And sure enough, I ran into Zipper T. Bunny, who was once again all excited about Bunny Day coming up in a week. I guess I should be grateful it’s only a week of this. It could be two. Or More! The very idea… >shudder< Anyway, I can ignore the creepy dude (or dudette) in the bunny costume when the day rolls around because I’ve already got all the DIY recipes and made all the egg stuff years ago. But I can’t ignore the earth eggs… unless I want to skip digging up fossils for a week, but seeing all those holes everywhere would make me crazy so I have to suffer through it.

This week also brought Vesta’s birthday. I was curious who the other guest was going to be as she’s still pretty new to Xanadu, and much to my surprise, it was Camofrog! That’s an interesting pair to be sure! Anyway, I bought her a water cooler the other week at Nook’s Cranny, and she seemed pretty thrilled with it. Of course, as she’s new, I certainly didn’t expect a picture with her thank you note the following day, and was fine with a denim cap.

It was a pretty quiet week (is everyone just resting before Bunny Day?), so at the end I decided to play dress up. Originally I thought about putting on one of the egg costumes but then I didn’t really want to give Zipper any ideas. So instead, I changed up my look and dressed like Jesus on Good Friday. It feels maybe a little wrong, but I couldn’t resist!
