Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 4/1/23

Dear Diary,

Another quiet week on Xanadu. I kind of enjoy when the island is quiet and there’s no big drama or anything. I can just relax and go about my business with no bother.

Baabara was camping on the island at the start of the week and I have to say, she seemed kind of familiar. I feel like she might have been a neighbor in one of the other towns where I’ve lived. But I can’t be 100% sure because my memory is crap. But if she was a neighbor, she can’t have stuck around too long because she clearly didn’t make a big impression!

I found a book on the ground and unfortunately, it turned out to belong to Sherb. Not that I don’t mind returning his lost picture book to him, but we’re already BFFs, so it doesn’t matter as much when I do a good deed for him. I still do the good deed, though, obviously — I’m not a monster!

In the middle of the week, Ace invited me over to his place, so I agreed to hang out for a bit and cement our growing friendship. I don’t mind because he has a nice house and his record player plays “K.K. Hop,” which is a good tune. And, in fact, he gave me a copy of it on my way out to say thanks for visiting. (I didn’t tell him I already have it…)

I honestly thought I was going to go the whole week without learning anything new but right at the end, there, I found a DIY recipe for a golden dharma in a bottle on the beach. It’s still kind of amazing that after three years I still don’t have all the recipes!

Sasha and Sherb must get along like gangbusters because they’re practically the same person. Or then again, maybe that’s why they wouldn’t like each other! Because I found another book on the ground and it turned out to be another picture book but at least this time it belonged to Sasha. Still no picture, though. My reward was a thick stripes shirt. But it was a color I didn’t already have so I actually appreciated it!
