Dear Diary,

As you can see from the photos this week, it’s feeling a lot more like spring on Xanadu. The grass and trees really turned green a lot quicker than I was expecting. So even though there’s still a bit of a chill in the air, at least it looks pretty!

It’s a new month, so it’s time for another gift from Mom. And once again, she compared the melting snow to melting candles and sent me another Mom’s candle set. This one is really pretty with the shells and undersea elements so it might actually be my favorite. Nice work, Mom!

This week was also Festivale, so I got all dressed up in one of my Festivale outfits (I went with the purple this year) and went down to the plaza to say hi to Pavé. I’m not going to get him any feathers because I’ve already got all of his gifts, but he’s a delight just to chat and dance with. I also love how my neighbors just randomly run up and throw confetti on me. It’s adorable!

The following day, Lopez told me he had a new nickname for me. If I’m being totally honest, “hashtag” is a little too trendy for this old guy, and I rather preferred “maestro,” which is what he’s been calling me for ages. But I didn’t want to disappoint my boyfriend, so I told him “hashtag” was cool.

So of course the very next day, Sherb’s caught wind of it and wants to call me “hashtag,” too. I’m pretty sure Apple was already using this one but Lopez made it sound like he came up with it on his own. Which, of course he did… Anyway, looks like I’m going to be “hashtag” for a while.

I found a bag and it was pretty plain so I had an inkling it belonged to Kitt. And I was right! Happy to do her another favor, even if it only got me a raincoat. I don’t need thank you gifts, really. I just need you to be such a good friend you give me a picture to commemorate our friendship! Get the hint, already!

Then I did another favor when I found Patty stuck inside on a nice day because she was feeling under the weather. I gave her some of the medicine I had on me and she thanked me with a gym tee. That also reminded me that I’m running low on medicine and will need to stock back up. I don’t want to be caught empty handed!

I was also surprised this week to find a couple of items on sale at Nook’s Cranny that I didn’t already have in my expansive collection. Earlier in the week there was a caged cart on sale that I’d never seen before so I bought it just to have it in the inventory even though I’d never really need one. And at the end of the week there was a covered wagon! It’s very cool and I feel like now I can do an old west kind of setup that could be fun. We’ll see!
