Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 3/22/25
Dear Diary,
This week, Camofrog played with my emotions and I felt the pang of disappointment multiple times… and not just when giving an expensive gift to someone and getting anything other than a picture in exchange. Because that still happens on the regular so I’m getting kind of used to it.
The week kicked off with Camofrog inviting me over to his place. I kind of like it because of how earthy it is, and “K.K. Safari” is a jam. He tried to get me to buy some of his stuff but I politely declined. Multiple times. (He kept pushing…) I was happy to swing by for a bit to try and cement our friendship. Even if all I got for my troubles was a striped tank.
I found a book laying on the ground that so very obviously belonged to Kitt I didn’t even need to check with anyone else. I had hopes that perhaps this would be the favor that inspired Kitt to immortalize our friendship with her picture, but instead she just thanked me with a tee-parka combo. Sigh.
This week was also St. Patrick’s Day, and I had my door plaque hung for a couple of weeks before the holiday where I donned a full-on over-the-top leprechaun ensemble. Unfortunately, Shamrock Day, as it’s known here on the island, isn’t really much of a holiday at all. No one else was wearing green or even mentioned it. So that was kind of disappointing.
I popped my head into Brewster’s during the afternoon and saw Celeste enjoying a coffee so I made a point of going back out again in the evening to try and find her. She was in her usual place at one of Xanadu’s highest points (she’s there nine times out of 10) but once again, there was no celestial DIY recipe. Just a handful of five star fragments. Now, I know that there are recipes I don’t have yet but I guess it’s not the right time of year. I’ll keep trying!
And finally, after I spent some quality time with Camofrog at his place earlier in the week, the schmuck decided that he wanted to move away. The nerve! Naturally, I shut those plans down quickly and he agreed to stay. And while I would love to keep him around to get his picture, I honestly think I’d keep him around even longer than that just because I don’t want to be the only cranky one on the island!
