Dear Diary,

It was a suspiciously quiet week in Xanadu this time around. Which is weird, because I thought there was supposed to be a holiday. But I still got some new things and had a lot of fun anyway!

I walked around in the Shamrock ensemble for basically a week. I got the shamrock rug, the shamrock soda, and even the shamrock doorplate. But in the middle of the week, when Shamrock Day came around… nothing. Not a peep out of anyone. No one else wore green, no one even mentioned the holiday. I felt like a right pillock.

Still filling in the blanks in my record collection so I requested “K.K. Ragtime.” Not bad, but not really a tune I’m going to listen to a whole lot, I don’t think.

Lopez sent me a lovely note with an Informative statue enclosed, but as soon as I took one look at it, even I knew it was a fake. I still brought it to Blathers just so he can feel like he’s doing his job telling me what I already know. And then I just put it up in the corner where I’ve put another of the art forgeries. Since you can’t sell them, it doesn’t seem right to just throw them away.

Gulliver washed ashore this week and this time, my reward for rescuing him was this coin headpiece. It’s fairly cool but I was still in my Shamrock Day mood so I wasn’t going to change outfits for it. Maybe I’ll wear it later…

Skye was our camper this week, and she seemed pretty cool. No room for her at the inn, so to speak, though, so I hope she enjoyed her visit to Xanadu!

There was an upgrade released for the Nook Phone app that lets you store even more designs on it. I still spent the Nook Miles to upgrade even though I don’t really do any custom designs at all because I’m terrible at making them. I mean, I’ve got more Nook Miles than I know what to do with, so I might as well use them, right?

It hadn’t been quite a full year yet but at the end of the week I got a letter from Nook Inc. that read: “Dear Chris, Can you believe it’s been a year since we started this adventure with the Nook Inc. Deserted Island Getaway Package? This calls for a celebratory gift! From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Yes, yes!” And enclosed was this lovely first anniversary cake. The decorations go all the way around and it’s got trees, a house, and other island features all over it. It’s so precious I can’t even think about eating any of it! I honestly can’t believe it’s been a year already. Boy, how time flies! And the adventure still continues!
