Dear Diary,

As you can tell from Lopez’s sequin talk, Festivale is coming up soon. But as for this week, it was all about Lopez losing his shit (literally!) and me spending time with friends!

Apple kicked things off by coming down with a wicked cold. I feel that! Thankfully, the medicine that I always make sure to have on me for just this sort of situation works a whole lot faster than anything in the real world. Apple was grateful and thanked me with a… hose reel? Um, okay, thanks?

I’ve been thinking that I’m not going to keep everyone hostage on my island until they give me their picture anymore. But when Camofrog told me he was thinking about leaving, I very politely asked him to stick around a bit longer. I just really enjoy having another crankypants around, and I would actually like his picture one day.

I found a notebook and it just reeked of “Lopez” but I was kind of hoping it wasn’t. But it was. Not that I don’t mind doing favors for my boyfriend, but I would like to maybe do some favors for some of the newer residents to cement those friendships more. He rewarded me for returning it with a tee with silicone bib. Whatever, dude.

In the middle of the week, I came out of my house and was stunned to see that all of the snow had melted overnight! There’s not a trace of it left. Not that it’s quite spring yet, but at least it doesn’t feel as cold and wintry without the snow. Unfortunately, this is when the island doesn’t look very pretty as the grass is all brown and the trees aren’t quite green yet. Soon, though!

Kitt invited herself over, and as you know, I still don’t have her picture yet even though she’s been around ages, so I agreed to show her around. Although she just sat right down on my couch and started reading, which wasn’t very sociable. I thought maybe I’d show her around my house but basically in ever single room, she just plopped herself down and started reading again. She’s a bit odd, that Kitt. On her way out, she gifted me with an athletic outfit, so I hoped maybe her picture would come in the mail the next day. Nope. It was just an oil lamp. Sigh…

Then I found a bag on the ground which also belonged to Lopez! He’s really got to learn to keep better track of his stuff! Unless, of course, this was all just a ploy to make sure that I came to visit him… That would be okay. He thanked me with an athletic jacket for my efforts. But I really don’t need a reward. I’d do anything for Lopez!

To close out the week, Muffy invited me over to her house so I agreed because I had a little free time and wanted to make her happy. It wasn’t a long visit but we played some high card, low card and I checked out her stuff. When I left, she gave me a little gift of some bottom-rimmed glasses. So… no picture, then, Muffy? Oh well! Maybe next time!
