Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 2/4/23
Dear Diary,
It was a good week on Xanadu. I deepened some friendships, learned some new things, and basically just enjoyed myself. That’s how life should be!
So Renée asked if she could come over and hang out, and while I’m normally kind of irritated when folks just invite themselves over, I haven’t gotten really close to Renée since she moved here so I figured we could use some time to bond. I gave her a tour of my home and we enjoyed some ramen and listened to records. She also gave me a zen uniform as a thank you gift for having her over, which was unusual because they usually just bring fruit.
The next day, I saw a bag laying in the snow and went to find its owner. And luck was with me because Robin was the first person I asked and it turned out to be her lost purse! She gave me a long down coat to say thanks. I wasn’t expecting a photo this early. But maybe one day!
In a bottle washed up on the beach I found a DIY plan for a project table. And I honestly can’t believe I didn’t already have this one. It’s so basic! Why didn’t I already have this one?
I was surprised not to get a letter from Mom on February 1 but I guess Pete was a little slow this time because it came on the second. “My dear Chris,” she wrote. “I blow onto my icy hands to warm them… I doesn’t work, but it’s something to do. If I stitch fast enough, maybe I’ll be able to feel my fingers again. I miss the sun! — Mom” And enclosed was another of Mom’s embroidery, this time a girl with a teddybear and I think the word “Cute?” It’s not my favorite, but it’s still nice. Mom’s got some talent!
I popped into Sasha’s place to check on him and found out he was seriously ill. Thankfully I had some medicine on me to help him get on the road to recovery. It was my last one, though, so I made sure to pick up another batch when I passed by Nook’s Cranny. I would hate to visit a sick friend only to find I had no medicine to give them!
Apple has been calling me “gold star” for ages but this week she told me she’d come up with something more “couture.” But it turns out the best she could come up with was “shmoopy.” I mean, it’s not as impressive sounding as “gold star” but… I have to admit I kind of like “shmoopy.” So I told her to go for it. Hopefully, it spreads around the island!
And then, to close out the week, Isabelle announced some shooting stars, so I popped out of my house in the evening to make some quick wishes and see if Celeste was there. This time, she was, and I got a DIY recipe for a flying saucer! Cool! I can’t wait to craft it and put it with my other space stuff… unfortunately, I didn’t have time right then. Tomorrow! (Or in the case of this diary, next week!)
