Dear Diary,

This week on Xanadu was nice and relaxing… aside from a couple of surprises!

Things got off on the wrong foot when I found Genji wandering around outside of his house contemplating moving away. Sorry, dude. As I’ve said many times over the past few years, I am not letting you go because I refuse to have to redecorate this corner of the island. I like it the way it is!

When Sasha invited me to participate in a treasure hunt, I was disappointed because I’ve already got his picture. And it seems like when someone asks you to play this game, if you win, you can get their picture. It’s happened at least a couple of times in the past. I found the treasure right away and earned an Edo-period merchant outfit for my efforts. Thanks, Sasha!

In the middle of the week, we had a camper, and while Tipper actually seemed pretty cool, there’s unfortunately no empty space on the island. Sorry, Tipper!

This week also brought a new month, which meant a new gift from Mom. “My dear Chris,” she wrote. “I blow onto my icy hands to warm them… It doesn’t work, but it’s something to do. If I stitch fast enough, maybe I’ll be able to feel my fingers again. I miss the sun!” And inside the package was a new Mom’s embroidery. It’s a rather cute image of Red Riding Hood and the Wolf getting along. I like it!

At the end of the week, I saw Sherb looking preoccupied and worried he was thinking about moving away, too. But he was actually just worried about his missing snack bag. I hadn’t come across it yet, but pretty soon I did. Usually I find the lost item before the person who lost it. This time I didn’t have to ask around to find out who it belonged to, so I guess that’s a plus! And for my trouble, Sherb rewarded me with a fast food cap. Thanks, Sherb!
