Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 12/31/22

Dear Diary,

Well, this week was Toy Day, which I always say I’m going to skip but never do. And then there’s just enough time to catch your breath before it’s time for New Year’s Eve! Phew, I’ll be glad when the holidays are finally over!

So once again, Jingle showed up on Toy day and asked for my help delivering presents. Of course, first you have to go and get some ornaments so you can craft him some wrapping paper because not only does he not want to do his job he also doesn’t want to do it well. How can you forget to wrap them?

So anyway, I went in my closet and dug out my Santa outfit so I could look the part as I handed out gifts from Santa to everyone on the island. It didn’t take too long in the end, and it’s actually kind of fun, so I didn’t mind going to the trouble. Even though I’ve already got all the recipes and rewards that Jingle has to hand out.

I kept the Santa hat on and wore a nice festive outfit on Christmas Day, even though that’s not actually celebrated on this island. Mac showed up to camp on the 25th and he seems like he might be kind of cool but honestly, Xanadu is kind of overrun with sporty types right now. We’ve got three, for crying out loud! But I hope Mac enjoyed his visit.

I shot down a few balloons this week and as usual, they’re either items I already have or bags of bells. Although I did shoot down a yellow balloon that I expected to have bells as that color usually does, but it was actually a DIY recipe for a ski-slope wall! I guess this counts as my seasonal recipe get for this year? I know there must be plenty of others out there, but I’m never lucky enough to get more than one every season.

Coco told me she was thinking about moving again so I had to shut that noise down quick-like. She’s not free to leave my island prison yet. Sorry, girlfriend!

This week we had two campers, and I don’t understand why anyone would want to stay in a tent in the freezing cold, but whatever. I’m just here to say hi. Moe seems like a good sort, but there’s no room on the island for anyone new right now. Sorry!

And then it’s time to prepare to stay awake until midnight on New Year’s Eve to ring in the new year with all my friends. And especially Lopez. He’d better show up in the plaza for the big party as promised!
