Dear Diary,

This week on the island, November finally came to an end. So that means no more mushrooms growing all over the place completely unchecked. Unfortunately, that also means no more chances to get a new DIY recipe for making any more harvest or fall items. Sigh. I guess I should count myself lucky that this year I managed to even get one!

The week started off with a visitor to the campsite, so I naturally went to say hello and check ’em out. I gotta say, Megan was a little too aggressively cute and happy for me, so I’m kind of glad we have no room on the island for a new resident.

Ugh. Kitt tried to move away again. But I still don’t have her picture, so I can’t let her go quite yet. But honestly, even though she’s definitely grown on me since she came to live on Xanadu, as soon as I get it, she can go whenever she likes!

So later in the week when I saw Lopez lost in thought, I feared he might also be considering a move. (Which I would never let happen!) But thankfully, all he was wondering about was whether or not he could call me by a new nickname he heard someone else using. Seems he felt a little jealous because it made us seem like best friends. Oh, Lopez, you have nothing to worry about. You’ll always be my favorite, no matter what you call me!

I went to check in on Apple, and while she wasn’t crafting anything, she liked my outfit and wanted to be my “fashion godmother” to gift me this snowy knit cap. Now, while there’s no snow quite yet, she was surprisingly right about it going with my ensemble! So I kept it on. I think you might have a career in this, Apple!

At the end of the week, we had another camper, and I have to say that this time I was actually a little disappointed that there was no room for Dobie on the island. He seems like a crotchety old man, which I also am, so I think he’d be a perfect fit! And unfortunately, I don’t believe I have his card so I can’t call on him later when there is room for a new neighbor. In fact, I don’t believe I’ve ever even heard of him before. Shame, because I’d love to have him as a neighbor! Oh well…
