Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 12/16/17

Dear Diary,

Wow, this was a pretty busy week. I guess with the holidays approaching, that’s to be expected. Plus, as you can see, the weather took a turn. Oh, and I had one of those very rare weeks when the same person tried to move out twice! Rude!

So I was super delighted to see that it finally started to snow. Mostly because it meant I could take a day off of watering wilted flowers. It hasn’t rained in ages, and so I was really hoping it would start to snow because I was desperate for any kind of precipitation so I didn’t have to water flowers! (Of course, I spaced the following day and forgot that while all the flowers look great after, I still need to water the black roses or else they’ll turn. On the plus side, I made a lot of bells from all the gold roses I found the day after that!)

I was also surprised that after the first snow of the season, it already started sticking to the ground. I feel like usually it takes one more snowfall before it starts to pile up. But whatever. It meant there was snowballs to try building snowpeople, but of course, as is typical for me, I destroyed one of them by smacking it into the side of a house almost immediately. I suck at making snowmen.

Monty tried moving away and of course, being a monkey — and the monkey I went through a lot of effort to convince to move here from my friend’s town — I told him he wasn’t going anywhere. Sorry, we’re not done with you yet, Monty!

Last week, Butch mentioned Toy Day, but since Jingle hadn’t recruited me again, I assumed nobody was going to talk about what they wanted from Santa yet. Well, I was wrong! Tiffany wants food. Which is weird, but who am I to judge? I made a note of it, and now we’ll see what weird food item I find in Santa’s sack to give her!

Gah! Lopez tried moving away this week, too! I’ve already lost enough boyfriends, and I’m not losing him, too. He’s staying put!

So I was digging up stuff and accidentally dug up Pippy’s time capsule before she’d asked me to, but it turns out she was thinking about it anyway. Phew! Inside was a beaded shirt and a note that read: “To the future Pippy, Who will wear this in the future, I wonder? When I used to run around town wearing this, I always felt like a one-girl parade. Now go celebrate your life! — Ever-spoiled Pippy” But if she wants to run around celebrating herself with a solo parade, she’s going to have to do it wearing something else, because she gave me the beaded shirt as a reward for helping her. Unless she’s got a whole stash of them laying around!

Remember when I said someone tried to move away twice in the same week? Well, it was Monty. Glad it wasn’t Lopez! I shut down his plans again, and was actually kind of irritated that he would try twice within the same seven days. Who does that?

Usually I check on Geneva after work, when it’s still kind of light out and I can relax after a stressful day at the office. But there was one day this week when I actually ended up checking on town much later, and when I went to the museum to have my fossils appraised so I could sell them, I could hear the thumping bass coming from Club lol and couldn’t resist popping in for a quick dance! Tiffany was there, so we tore up the dance floor together and had a good gossip!

When I was checking to see if Lopez had lost the book that I’d found, I noticed that he has all of his furniture on one side of his house. That’s some weird-ass feng shui he’s got going on there! Hope his house doesn’t just tip right over!

Later in the week I also noticed that the lights had gone up on some of the trees around town which adds that extra festive touch on top of the gently falling snow. Hopefully it’ll help get me in the holiday spirit because that’s always a bit of a chore!

I also noticed that when Anchovy was walking around in the snow, he was leaving little bird footprints and I realized he doesn’t wear any shoes. Hope his little talons don’t get frostbite!

At the end of the week I finally managed to get two snowballs together, but was disappointed when I only made a Snowboy. I got a snowman vanity in the mail the next day, but I really wanted to make a Snowman so I could play bingo. I know I already have all the furniture, but I still enjoy the game anyway! Oh well… winter has only just begun!
