Dear Diary,

Winter has finally arrived on Xanadu so I’ve been enjoying that while also doing my usual good deeds. In fact, I think I might have helped make a love connection between two of my friends!

Things kicked off with a camper, and Elise seemed pretty keen to move to the island. Unfortunately, we have no space right now and I don’t know who she might kick out if she tried to move in. Plus, as cute as Elise is, she’s very much like Robin, and I’d rather have a new personality replace her when she moves out.

Of course, the very next day, Sherb was making noise about moving away. Sorry, Sherb, that is never going to happen so you might as well just stop thinking about it right now. Unfortunately, I’m far too attached to half the island, and he’s in that half.

By the middle of the week, I came out of my house to find that the snow had finally stuck to the ground! After a couple of gentle snowfalls, it finally looks like proper winter around here! Of course, that means I can’t really run around in a sweater anymore — it’s too cold for that now!

All this change in the weather also means people are getting sick. I found Kitt shivering in her home and happily offered her some of the medicine I had in my pockets. She was so grateful she gave me an emblem blazer. Hey, anything for a friend. And anything to help make that friend a best friend who might give me their picture!

It took me a couple of days before I worked up the courage but I eventually tried rolling up some snowballs to make a Snowboy. And I got lucky! He came out perfect! I’ve already got all the Snowboy items from previous winters so I just did this for fun. I already have an Snowperson head… don’t really need another. I’ve only got one head, after all!

I was also thrilled when the cute comic book I found laying in the snow actually belonged to Patty instead of Apple for a change! I’d much rather work on my friendship with Patty instead of Apple, who has been a best friend for years now. I only got an animal-print coat as thanks, but it was still nice to do the favor for her and not Apple. Small wins!

So Muffy got Robin a gift but was too shy to give it to her herself. I agreed to make the delivery for her, and when Robin unwrapped it, it turned out to be a checkered sweater vest. She tried it on, and while I wasn’t crazy about it, I told her it looked nice. It’s just a little nerdy for someone like Robin. Anyway, Robin gave me a mixer and I went to report back to Muffy.

I found her sweeping up the plaza and told her how Robin reacted to her gift. Muffy seemed rather overwhelmed by the response and I hope she was able to calm down before she went to see Robin because at that moment, she was a bit much. But good luck to those two crazy kids!
