Dear Diary,

Well, the leaves are falling but I’m not bothering to catch any of them because I don’t have any DIY recipes that need them. I did shoot down a balloon and find a DIY recipe inside for a red leaf pile, but I already have that one so I decided to just hang onto it and pass it along to my nieces when I see them in another week. Then there was another surprising moment at the end of the week that left me a little bit sad, honestly. Let me explain!

So I found a bag on the ground and after examining it, thought it could belong to Camofrog. I hoped I was right, because I wanted to be able to do him another big favor and cement our new friendship, and it turns out I was! Of course, it’s still too early for a picture, and I knew that, so I wasn’t too disappointed when he thanked me with a fast-food uniform.

Then a couple days later, Camofrog invited me over to his house, and I couldn’t say no because again, trying to be a good friend. I had the time, and it didn’t bother me so I went over to hang out for a bit. At least when you’re the visitor, you can decide when you want to leave! Upon my exit, I got a conductor’s cap and a copy of his favorite song, “K.K. Safari.”

Then I was surprised to see a new item in the shop for a change. Given how long I’ve lived here, I honestly thought I’d seen everything but I guess I still haven’t! So I bought the artsy table, and since it was 15,000 bells, also got some wrapping paper to give as a gift to Muffy. As I’ve said before, expensive wrapped gifts are supposed to sometimes get you a picture as a thank-you, or so I’ve heard. Unfortunately, all she gave me was a yellow-striped wall. Grr…

Towards the end of the week, I checked in on Patty to find her battling a cold. I had medicine on me as usual (although I do need to restock because I’m running low!) so I offered her some and she was very grateful. Of course, like Camofrog, our friendship is still new, so I didn’t mind when she gave me a student cap in return.

I found Sherb wandering the beach deep in thought and it turned out he was thinking about leaving again. For a hot second, I was tempted to let him go because we haven’t had anyone new in ages, but I just couldn’t say goodbye to one of my OG’s. Sorry, Sherb! You’re stuck here!

Finally, at the end of the week, I did my rounds a bit on the later side and ran into Celeste. I didn’t see any shooting stars, but I was happy to see her! Unfortunately, instead of a DIY recipe she just gave me a handful of five star fragments. Does that mean I have all the celestial DIY recipes? That would be sad. I so looked forward to those. Oh well… I guess time will tell!
