Dear Diary,

Big doings this week in Xanadu, so let’s not waste any time and jump right in!

I wasn’t really in any particular mood so I left it up to K.K. Slider to pick whatever he wanted to play. And to my surprise, he picked a song I didn’t already have, “K.K. Lullaby.” Eventually I’m going to have to start making specific requests because I have a lot of the songs already.

Sometimes I forget that the HHA actually sneaks into my house to look at all my stuff in order to grade me. This critique was weirdly specific and when I checked my back room, the spooky scarecrow was in fact facing the wall. But I hadn’t realized it because it was facing forward so you can see it. Wasn’t thinking about how that’s facing into a wall. Oops! So I moved it. Though I really should redecorate my spooky Halloween room now that it’s almost Thanksgiving!

Of course, it’s hard to redecorate with more seasonal furniture as I don’t have any DIY recipes for it. I haven’t shot down a single, solitary balloon containing a mushroom DIY recipe. And once the leaves started falling, I got the red-leaf pile DIY from Isabelle and actually got a colored-leaves flooring from a balloon. No mushroom DIYs, though. It’s really frustrating. Oh, and there are falling leaves everywhere… it took me a minute or two to realize that you could only scoop up the big ones with your net! Ha!

Kitty tried to move again and I shut that plan down again. She hasn’t been here particularly long, and I rather like having her in the house next door to Kiki. Then I can call that area “Kitty Corner.” Get it?

I woke Gullivarrr up and went diving for his phone (took a while, but found a crab I didn’t have in the museum yet so that was helpful), and the next day he sent me this dashing Sea Captain’s Coat. I love it!

Label was in the plaza again, this time looking for a formal outfit. I threw a little something together, and she loved it. Although she seems to have run out of Labelle fashion items as I got a pair of pumps, which I already had. I mean, they were a different color, but still…

Also, rather randomly, Genji, Apple, and Harry were all running around the plaza like lunatics while holding large tufts of weeds. I mean, it looks like the big weeds that you pick sometimes. But they’re holding them like magic wands and running around like crazy people. Whatever — You do you!

I got a letter from Luna that was interesting. I haven’t done a lot of dreaming because you have to know the address of the dream you want to visit. But now she’s doing the random dream thing she used to do. That’s always fun because you never know what you’re going to get! Next time I remember to update my island’s dream, I’ll have to give it a go!

There was another big seasonal update so Nintendo thanked me for downloading it by sending me this delicious-looking yule log! I appreciate the gift, even though you can’t really not download the update.

One of the new additions to the town business is that you can add more storage to your home. But there’s no loan this time. Nook wants 500,000 bells up front. I’m putting it off for now because I don’t really need the extra space yet. I’ve got the money, of course. I’ve got almost 4 million bells in my savings. I’m just being lazy.

I used some of my tons and tons of Nook Miles to get some new hairstyles, though there wasn’t anything that worked for me. But more variety is always better so everyone can have the look they want. There were also a bunch of new reactions, so now you can do the things that your friends have been doing all this time. Things like aerobics, yoga, waving, and most importantly… sitting on your butt! I love it! It’s about time!
