Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 11/16/24
Dear Diary,
Fall is in full effect on Xanadu, but the colorful leaves haven’t started actually falling yet, so does it still count as fall? In other news, I’ve read that giving wrapped expensive gifts can help inspire someone to give you their picture in exchange, but so far that hasn’t helped at all. Which leads me to wonder… maybe they don’t like me that much in the first place?
The week kicked off with a camper, and I have to say that Lyman seemed kind of cool… for a jock. We’ve already got two of those and I fear if any more moved to the island I’d have to build a gym or something.
Robin was thinking about moving again so I shut down that idea again. She’s the one who got the expensive present this week and gave me garbage in return. Maybe she’s only pretending to be my friend?
I had some free time so I thought I’d go do some work for Paradise Planning. I built the cafe instead of the restaurant a while ago so there’s still that to do but that seems like a lot of work. So instead, I just built a simple little vacation home for Huck. He wanted an adventure camp, so while the place doesn’t look particularly livable, it’s definitely good for playing pretend. To each their own, I suppose!
After finishing Huck’s place, Lottie told me to go help Niko upstairs. He was struggling with DIY so I told him everything I knew and that created this new idea to use crafted furniture in my vacation homes. Ugh. Do I really want to put that much effort into these places? Especially since I don’t think I’ll have a crafting table on me. Would I have to craft something before we go to the location and design their home? I guess we’ll find out… eventually.
Closing out the week like a nice bookend, we had another camper. And Quillson is freaking awesome. I feel like he was my neighbor in one of my previous villages, but I can’t be 100% sure. I’m getting up there and my memory isn’t what it once was. Quillson didn’t seem to recognize me, but they never do, so you can’t go by that. Sadly, there was no room on the island for Quillson. But I think I have his card somewhere so I can give him a call if I am so inclined.
