Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 10/30/21

Dear Diary,

In this week leading up to Halloween, I had a really good scare. Thankfully, everything worked out in the end! Also, dressing up is fun!

I just so happened to be out in the evening on Saturday when K.K. Slider was taking requests, so I decided to tell him I was feeling good and see what he came up with. He picked “K.K. Calypso,” which isn’t one of my faves, but it does sound better live. Also, I could dance with my boyfriend, which was nice!

Speaking of my boyfriend, the very next day, Lopez admitted he was thinking about moving away! Naturally, I insisted he stay. He really should just stop trying because I’m never going to let him go. Sorry, buddy!

I was kind of busy but I just couldn’t leave Gulliver laying there on the beach out cold. I’m always tempted, since I already have every reward he can give me, but I just can’t leave someone in distress. It’s just not me! Anyway, I got another tam o’shanter hat but again, it was a new color scheme, so that’s a bonus!

There was a notice on the bulletin board alerting everyone on the island that Jack is coming to celebrate Halloween the evening of October 31. The problem is, I’m having a hard time getting excited about it knowing it’ll be exactly the same as last year. I’ve been buying candy from the store just in case, but I don’t really see the point of going through all that effort just to get more of the same furniture I got last year.

This week I changed out of my caveman costume and dressed as a firefighter, then after a couple more days, I decided to don the hot dog costume. I had to add the orange paw slippers because I didn’t want to run around barefoot and there aren’t actually any hot dog shoes. At least not that I’m aware of! (The size difference between the head and body kind of bothers me, though… why is my head so big?!)

Towards the end of the week, some other people started getting dressed up, too. I saw Isabelle wearing a witch’s hat during her announcements, and Tom Nook as well as the Nooklings were also wearing costume caps. (I do love the little ears on the Nooklings… I know they already have cute ears, but the hats are just adorable!)

For some reason, Harry wanted to play the treasure game again this week. I don’t know what’s up with him. Maybe he really does want to be a pirate? Anyway, I found the treasure with a couple of minutes left on the clock and earned myself a pair of heart shades. I think I’ll give them to Francine in the hopes of finally getting her picture. We’ll see…
