Dear Diary,

It was actually a rather busy week on the island. And I finally achieved something I honestly should have achieved quite a while back. Oh well, better late than never, right?

There was another Fishing Tourney to kick things off and I made a point of not missing it because I still don’t have the gold trophy for fishing. It’s the only one left to collect. I wasn’t sure how many rounds I was going to have to do but after the second one, C.J. happily informed me I was a fishing legend and he was going to send me something special in the mail. Woot!

I replaced my silver fishing trophy with my gold fishing trophy and displayed it proudly next to my gold bug trophy. But before I could shine it up and take a picture, there was a knock at my door. I always get visitors if I spend too long in my house. But it was Ace and I figured whatever, let’s cement that friendship even more by being nice and letting him in. I mean, you really don’t have a choice anyway. They just come barging in whether you like it or not.

Thankfully, Ace didn’t stay too long and I was able to get my fish trophy shined up nice so I could take a picture with it. It was really bugging me that I had the gold trophies for the house and bugs but it took me so long to get the fishing one. I guess it’s because I usually don’t come out of my house on Saturdays until rather late and I miss the Bug-offs and Fishing Tourneys.

Sherb confessed he was thinking about moving away and I had to shut that down right away. I just can’t let him go. He’s an OG and he’s also super adorable and I would miss him too much. Sorry, Sherb!

Later in the week we had a camper, and as with some others I’ve met, Candi was just a little too much pink for me. Although I would have loved the opportunity to get her a more fashionable top to wear than the peasant blouse she’s got on currently. It’s just not her, if you know what I mean.

I found a workout journal on the ground and was very excited to do another favor for Ace but when I brought it to him, he said it wasn’t his and I realized it was Genji’s. Dangit! So instead of returning it to Ace and maybe getting his picture in return, I gave it back to Ace and he thanked me with a western shirt. Sigh…

Patty wanted to play treasure hunt and I agreed, even though I knew it wasn’t going to work out the way I would have liked. See, in the past, sometimes if I play treasure hunt with a really good friend, the prize will be their picture. But Patty just moved in and there’s no way our friendship is that solid. And sure enough, after I found the treasure and she unwrapped it, the reward was just a pair of bottom-rimmed glasses. Why couldn’t Ace have asked me to do a treasure hunt?
