Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 1/23/21

Dear Diary,

We had three birthdays in Xanadu this week! And none of them were mine! I did pretty well up until the last one when I made an embarrassing mistake. We also had a couple campers, too! Busy week!

I recognized Peanut but she didn’t seem to remember me. That’s okay, they never do. It’s like they get their minds wiped when they move. Anyway, Peanut is cute and all but not really worth the effort of convincing to move to the island. Sorry, Peanut!

Since last time I got a song I already had, I decided to request something specific I knew I didn’t already have in my musical library. And I can’t believe it took me this long to request “K.K. Groove!” It’s so good!

So the first birthday this week was Sherb’s, and Kiki was there in her cute little party dress to celebrate with him. I bought him a picnic basket because I know he loves food. Food and bugs seem to be his thing. But I went with the picnic basket. He seemed pretty chuffed. I like Sherb. He’s cool.

Genji told me he came up with a new nickname for me. And being a jock, naturally he would come up with something like “Iron C.” I guess it’s kind of like the Iron Sheik? I don’t know. It doesn’t suck, so I told him to go ahead and use it. I hope it doesn’t catch on, though…

In the middle of the week, I saw Clay deep in thought so I went to see what was up. And what turned out to be up was that he was thinking about moving somewhere new! Now, I know that Clay is very similar to Sherb, but I love them both and don’t want either of them going anywhere. At least not for a while! I mean, Clay hasn’t even given me his picture yet.

I found Gulliver washed ashore and my reward for helping him fix his communicator this time was a rather cool Maoi statue. I can’t even imagine the shipping costs for this monstrosity!

Next, it was Genji’s birthday, and Apple was his guest dancing around the house to work off all that cake. I had bought him a foosball table and he reacted well. I know he’s sporty so I thought it was a good present. I even ordered it special on my Nook Phone so it would arrive in time for his birthday!

We had another camper towards the end of the week, but Pashmina had resting bitch face and I don’t know if that would work for me. But I hope she enjoyed her day camping on Xanadu!

And finally, it was Francine’s birthday. Fresh off his own party, Genji was there to make this a big bunny birthday. Now, see, I had bought an accessories holder and wrapped it up for her because Francine is nothing if not stylish. However, when I reached in my pocket to get her present, I accidentally pulled out a pacifier instead! She thought that was her present, and there was no way that I could say differently! I mean, she seemed okay with it, I guess, but who knows if that was just her putting on a brave face? I felt terrible.
