Dear Diary,

Okay, now it seems like we’re out far enough from the holidays that things are finally settling down a bit. This week on Xanadu was nice and quiet with just a few pleasant surprises. Just the way I like it!

The week kicked off with a cute camper staying on the island. And Walker was much more my speed, thinking about eating food instead of working out. Unfortunately, there’s no room at the inn, so to speak, so I just had to wish him well.

Of course, the very next day, someone tells me they’re thinking about moving away. Except that it was Renée, and she only just got here. It’s odd, though, because when she first showed up I thought she was pretty cool but now I honestly have no strong feelings for her one way or the other. Go figure… (I’d still rather get her picture before she goes, though!)

I will very often poke my head into The Roost when I go to the museum to get my daily fossil collection appraised just to see if Celeste is hanging out having some coffee. Because that means she’ll be hanging around that evening and I can get a recipe. But this week, I didn’t have to bother one day because Isabelle announced a meteor shower that night, something that she hasn’t done in ages. So I made sure that I went out that evening to find Celeste and wish on some stars. And much to my delight, Celeste was hanging around in the yard right outside my house, so she was easy to find! I got my DIY recipe for a Capricorn ornament and then wished on a bunch of stars before going back in.

Gulliver also washed ashore this week and I wasn’t particularly busy that day so I helped him out finding his communicator parts. And the next day, he sent me another Dala horse. But this one was purple, a color I don’t already have, so it appeased my OCD collecting urges!

I also decided to bring my rope partition to Harv’s island to see if Cyrus could customize it for me. I tried to do it myself but it’s beyond my meager skills, apparently. So during my weekly trip to check out Sahara’s carpets and wallpaper, I also got my very first item customized at Cyrus’ shop. I don’t remember exactly how much it cost because I am a multimillionare at this point so it doesn’t really matter to me. But I went with the gold and red so I could have a really fancy velvet rope for my outdoor disco. Of course, now I feel like it looks odd next to the black partitions so I may have to see about customizing those so it all looks of a piece. If not, I could go with silver and red for the rope partition so it fits better with black. I just thought gold would be super fancy!
