Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 1/14/17

Dear Diary,

I mean well, really I do. But sometimes I just screw up. It happens. And after I screwed up, I had to buy another birthday present for a good friend, and I’m sure you can guess how well that went…

So Pippy asked me to bury a time capsule for her, and of course, not to peek inside. I happily agreed, and planned to bury it in front of her house. That’s what I always do. I bury them in front of the person’s house so I remember where it is. And nobody’s ever noticed or complained, so there you go!

However, the following day, I ran into Pippy again and asked her what was going on and she got all huffy and demanded the time capsule back because I hadn’t ever buried it! I couldn’t believe I had forgotten completely! It’s so embarrassing! And Pippy is so awesome I felt terrible about letting her down like that. Ugh.

This week was also Tiffany’s birthday, and I thought I found something she would really love and dropped a bunch of bells on it at Nookington’s. I had really high hopes for this one after my last bunch of birthday mistakes.

I was so disappointed when she wasn’t immediately thrilled with her rock guitar. See, she has this awesome urban decor in her house (well, before she started redecorating with random crap) and was always playing rock music on her stereo. So I honestly thought this was the perfect present.

And she can say she’s not disappointed, but her face says something completely different. That’s disappointment in her mascara-covered eyes if I’ve ever seen it. Sigh.

But leave it to Tifffany to put a positive spin on things! She’s been such a good friend for years, so she tried to cover and make it seem like not such a terrible thing. And the next day she sent me a thank you note claiming she loves her gift. But I know better. She needs to work on her poker face.

I got a letter from my mom, and it sounds like my dad is in danger of starving to death! How can she forget about him? Also, she included a microwave in the package, so I hope it wasn’t theirs, otherwise dad won’t be able to reheat the leftovers of the meals mom seems to be forgetting to serve him!

Also this week, something happened that I don’t think has ever happened to me in all these years in my different towns. I tried to dig something up out of the ground and missed. And as I stepped forward to kick the dirt back in to fill up the hole again, I stepped on the spot and it turned out to be a pitfall! Gah! Thankfully there was nobody around to see my humiliation!
