Wootini’s Weekly Animal Crossing Diary 1/11/20
Dear Diary,
I had some good luck this week, but also some bad luck. Well, at least it wasn’t all bad because while I had a bunch of friends try to abandon me, I was able to manipulate them into staying!
You might recall that at the end of last week’s entry I made a wish on a falling star. Well, Wishy the Star sent me a package the following day containing a present to grant my wish. Now, while I didn’t specifically ask for an eight lamp, I was surprised to check my basement and find that eight was actually the one number that I didn’t have in the set! So thanks, Wishy! You completed my number lamp set! (Now if only the room was big enough to display them all properly…)
Tiffany told me she came up with a new nickname for me, and while “sweetie” is a little cute, it also makes her sound like she’s in an episode of Absolutely Fabulous, so I can work with it, Sweetie darling!
Deli started the week off on the wrong foot by trying to move away, but I convinced him to stick around. I just want to maintain this town the way it is for another couple months. Is that too much to ask? After that, do what you will.
A couple days later, Tiffany made my new nickname sound bittersweet when she used it as she tried to get me to let her move away. Obviously, that’s not going to happen. I can’t have any upset in Geneva until March. Come on, work with me here, people!
Later in the week, Gabi asked me to help bury a time capsule for her, and I found myself hoping she remembers to have me dig it up before March 20 because otherwise, she’s on her own. But while I’m still living here I will continue to do favors for my friends. I’m not a monster!
At the end of the week, Tiffany’s birthday rolled around. So I bought her a present I thought she might like and crossed my fingers.
And much to my surprise, she seemed to genuinely like the astro TV I picked out for her. Go figure. I’m usually terrible at picking birthday presents, but once a year or so I manage to luck into something good. Maybe this will be enough to get Tiffany to not try to move away for at least a couple weeks?
Monty capped things off by jumping on the mass exodus bandwagon, but as with the others, I convinced him to stick around. I’m thinking maybe during my last week in Geneva I’ll let them go as long as they decide to move after March 20. And then, of course, once I’m gone, they’re free to do whatever they want and go wherever they want. It’ll be a free for all!
